Steel Spinning & Forming

Steel spinnings are the heart of metal spinning. While Wenzel Metal Spinning has advanced with new technology to meet the metal spun steel demands of our customers, we still hold strong to our founding core business: to give our customers the highest quality of steel metal spinnings.

Steel spinnings are also known as mild carbon steel spinnings. A metal spinning of steel is sturdier and more ridged than a stamped metal sheet of steel of the same thickness. A byproduct of the spinning procedure is an increased rigidity, further assisted by stiffening beads and radii. Another advantage of metal spun steel is that it is one of the more easily painted or coated materials.

Steel technology has advanced to increasing the possibilities for this lower cost material, flow forming sheet metal, and Wenzel Metal Spinning is interested in working with our customers to find the best way this very versatile material can work for you. Wenzel suggests the following types of steel for spinning in thicknesses between 24 gage and ¼”:
