Custom Spun Hemispheres

A spun hemisphere is a part formed from sheet metal in which the height is equal to the radius and half of the diameter – or half of a sphere. Hemispheres are typically used for applications such as tank ends, protective caps or covers and architectural components such as finials, fountains or fire pits.

Wenzel can spin made-to-order hemispheres in common materials used for commercial and industrial applications such as steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel and aluminum, but also special or decorative metals like copper, brass and bronze. Wenzel can produce custom tank heads in thicknesses up to ¼” in steel and aluminum and 3/16” thick stainless steel depending on overall size.
