430 Stainless Steel Spinning
430 Stainless Steel is ferritic stainless steel with corrosion resistance resembling that of 304/304L stainless steel. Spun 430 stainless steel does not harden quickly and can be formed using mild stretch forming, bending, or drawing operations. This grade is typically employed in a variety of residential and commercial, interior and exterior cosmetic applications where corrosion resistance is more important than strength. 430 stainless steel is considered weldable by common fusion and resistance techniques. Type 430 is highly magnetic (often referred to as ferromagnetic).
Benefits of Alloy 430:
- Excellent corrosion and oxidation resistance
- High electrical resistivity
- Ductile, easily formed
- Thermal conductivity
- Good finish quality
Common 430 spun parts applications:
